The Prairie View High School NJROTC unit is a citizenship development program dedicated to fostering leadership, discipline, and academic excellence. Our curriculum is designed to instill the principles of service, personal responsibility, and a profound sense of accomplishment in high school students. This website serves as a central resource for cadets, parents, and prospective members.

Our Core Values

The foundation of our program is the United States Navy's core values, which we rigorously integrate into all aspects of cadet life through academic instruction, practical application, and physical training.

  • Honor: To conduct oneself with the highest ethical and moral standards, demonstrating integrity and accountability for all actions.
  • Courage: The mental and moral fortitude to face and overcome challenges, adversity, and fear, while making decisions consistent with our guiding principles.
  • Commitment: A steadfast dedication to the objectives of the unit and the Navy, requiring teamwork, perseverance, and a continuous drive for self-improvement and unit excellence.

What We Do

Cadets engage in a comprehensive slate of co-curricular activities designed to build character and develop practical skills. Key operational teams include our armed and unarmed Drill Teams, which compete in precision military drill; the Color Guard, which presents the national colors at official school and community functions; and our Academic and Physical Fitness teams, which compete at regional and national levels. Participation provides a structured environment for cadets to cultivate confidence, teamwork, and effective leadership methodologies.
